Dr. Wen Zhang is an assistant professor at National Institute on Drug Dependence, Peking University since 2016. His research interests include neuronal circuit, interneuron development, and neurological diseases. His lab utilizes the state-of-the-art techniques of neuroscience, employ genetic, electrophysiological, and behavioral methods to understand how the interneurons develop and form inhibitory neuronal circuits, and how those circuits contribute to neurological diseases, such as drug addiction, schizophrenia, and ALS.
Dr. Zhang received his Ph. D. in neurobiology from University of Science and Technology of China. After that he did his post-doctoral trainings at The Jackson Laboratory and Intramural Research Program of National Institute on Drug Abuse, National Institutes of Health of USA.
Dr. Zhang’s studies have been published on prestigious journals in the related fields, such as Nature Neuroscience, Molecular Psychiatry, and Journal of Neuroscience. For publications, see Publications, and for CV of Dr. Zhang, see CV.
